Introduction to Tunable AddOns
Our AddOns are supplementary products that increase the perceived realism in the sound of any powered audio system due to our revolutionary concepts. All products from Third Rail Electric increase system resonances, thereby audibly revealing tonal complexities previously hidden by your sound system. Our design team and beta testers focus on achieving mid-range complexity, thus our cables reveal a more “natural” and realistic sound. THIS is the impact you can expect from TRE cables.
AddOns are a revolutionary method for adding realism to the sound of any powered audio system.
Not evolutionary, Revolutionary…this concept has never been utilized before.
When one accepts the hypothesis that all energy paths in an audio system are significant, and all of them contribute TONE, then one can start to realize that many new ways for audio improvement are possible.
One of these “new ways” is the method by which increased sonic complexity and realism can be added at any point in an audio system. Hence the invention of AddOns.
The “revolutionary” aspect then comes into focus when one realizes that mechanical resonance is the key to “tone,” and that “tone” is independent and different from frequency-response.
All AddOns are based on the concept that midrange complexity and realism are sadly lacking in current audio system wire interconnection cabling. Third Rail Electric has determined the cable parameters that are most conductive to reintroducing midrange complexity and realism to all audio systems’ sonic output.
TRE cables are the result of thousands of hours of empirical study into the building blocks of tone, and from the feedback from hundreds of end user ears.
Short Fuses are TargetedTone realizations. They are designed to easily integrate with your existing cables.
Cable lengths have been found to directly affect the “tone” of the cable. Therefore TRE AddOn designs utilize this factor for maximum effect.
The differences between the different series of connectors we use is mainly in maximizing the potential improvement in customer audio system performance.
